Abstract: Research related to industry alliance resource co-construction and sharing has entered a declining period, which is in urgent need of new breakthrough points. Previous studies have demonstrated that the metaverse has the potential to upgrade and transform traditional paradigms of information and knowledge services. This paper takes the National Agricultural Big Data and Information Service Alliance as an example to explore the enhanced growth potential that the metaverse technology can offer to the resource co-construction and sharing within industry alliances. This paper firstly discusses the generative logic behind industry alliances, the concept of the metaverse, and associated enabling technologies. It subsequently envisions future service scenarios for resource co-construction and sharing of industry alliances empowered by metaverse. Finally, this paper puts forward that the information resource co-construction and sharing of industry alliance empowered by metaverse should take the coordinated development path of technology, resources, management and talent.
